Swindon – Whalebridge

by | Aug 1, 2016

Muse Developments was planning an 850-space multi-storey car park as part of its regeneration scheme for Swindon town centre. Parking Matters was brought on board in March 2009 as parking advisor on the project. We worked with architects Robin Partington & Associates to create a high quality, functional car park on a very constrained site. An innovative design for the UK (where split-levels designs are generally favoured) features helical ramps for easy access and uninterrupted parking areas.

In addition, Parking Matters liaised with the Swindon Borough Council, who would acquire and operate the car park upon completion, to ensure that it met their requirements.

Results
The car park was successfully delivered in December 2013. Thanks to its design, Kimmersfield is a customer friendly, easy to maintain, 850-space car park. Parking Matters helped Muse Developments meet the challenges of building a high quality car park on a difficult site and achieve their objectives for the regeneration scheme.
